The Great Leaf Blower Showdown

Saturday began with good intentions and yardwork. Noah was thrilled to help, mainly because it involved his beloved leaf blower. Shane patiently showed him how to aim the thing and where to send the leaves. It all went well for about two hours, then the chaos began.

Noah decided the leaf blower had far greater potential than just moving leaves. He started blowing Shane, blowing the house, blowing anything that dared to stand still. To top it off, he began blowing all the leaves he had just sent downhill back up the hill. (You really need to see the video on our Facebook page to fully appreciate the masterpiece.)

After nearly three hours of leaf-blowing madness, Shane announced it was time to come inside and that Noah had to blow the leaves back down the hill before lunch. Suddenly, it was as if Noah had discovered hidden superpowers. The entire job, three hours of previous effort undone and redone, took him only fifteen minutes.

What was the motivation? Pizza. When Noah knows his favorite food is waiting, miracles happen. With him, it is always about finding the right carrot, or in this case, the slice of pepperoni, and waving it just right. Palm to forehead.
